Our community is surrounded by some of Austin's most well-known beautiful and recreational destinations. Decker Lake is just minutes from the community, offering open water and scenic green space. Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park — one of East Austin's largest outdoor destinations — is only a short 3 minute commute, with sprawling grounds along the lake.

The Travis County Exposition Center is nearby as well — another 5 minute journey outside our community —- who regularly hosts events, trade shows, and community gatherings throughout the year. Downtown Austin, with its live music venues, dining, and entertainment along Sixth Street and Rainey Street, is approximately 15 to 20 minutes west depending on traffic.

At this time, there are no dedicated bike lanes or commuting paths directly connected to the community. That said, Prose Decker Lake is in a great location between Highway 183 and the 130 Toll Road, making the drive to most parts of Austin and the surrounding metro area straightforward and efficient.

Prose Decker Lake is conveniently positioned near several significant employers in the Austin metro, making it easier for those traveling to work. Tesla's Gigafactory Texas in southeast Austin is approximately 15 to 20 minutes away from our community. Applied Materials, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, is located nearby in the 78724 corridor.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and Manor Shopping Center are also within close proximity for those working or running errands in the area. Our Austin apartment community can be a choice selection for those who have commitments to nearby employers and businesses. Prose Decker Lake is proud to offer a Preferred Employer Program for those residents who qualify. Enjoy a waived application & admin fee on top of the current leasing special offered!

Very convenient. The community sits between Highway 183 and the 130 Toll Road, both of which are less than 10 miles away. This positioning gives our residents quick access to major employment centers in North Austin, the Domain, Round Rock, and Downtown Austin — most of these locations reachable within 20 to 30 minutes under normal driving conditions.

Prose Decker Lake is located within the Manor Independent School District (Manor ISD). The assigned schools in this district include Oak Meadows Elementary, Decker Middle School, and Decker High School. For those residents needing more information, please feel free to contact our leasing office!

Yes — Prose Decker Lake is a pet-friendly community in Austin! While breed restrictions do apply, we allow up to 2 pets per apartment. Please contact our leasing office, or let your leasing agent know you plan to bring a furry friend so you can be informed about our pet policies and fees.

Yes, we have a dedicated pet park on-site, along with a convenient pet washing station — so your four-legged companions are well taken care of too. Our community is also close to grassy parks so your furry friend can enjoy more time outdoors and under the Austin sunshine.

At this time, additional storage options are not available at Prose Decker Lake. We are located near several self-storage facilities like Extra Space Storage (10 minutes away) for residents needing more options outside of those equipped in their apartment.

Yes. Our fitness center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — so your schedule doesn't have to work around anyone else's. Inside you can find equipment like stair climbers, Peloton bikes, rower machines, free weights, and more.

Yes. Every apartment at Prose Decker Lake comes equipped with a smart washer and dryer — no laundry room trips required.

Yes. We host monthly resident events designed to bring neighbors together and build a genuine sense of community. Keep an eye out for flyers, emails, and other forms of communication about our upcoming events!

Yes. EV charging stations are available on-site at Prose Decker Lake for residents' use. Contact our leasing office to learn more about this feature.

Prose Decker Lake offers carports for residents who prefer a covered spot at a monthly rate. Open parking is also available on a first-come, first-served basis at no additional cost.

Prose Decker Lake uses Fetch Package Services for deliveries. Fetch coordinates package receipt and delivery directly to your door, so you never have to worry about missed deliveries or packages sitting unattended.

Here's a straightforward breakdown of fees:

Additional monthly fees — including utilities, pet rent, and any optional add-ons — will be outlined in your lease agreement. Our Total Monthly Leasing Price chart helps outline the additional costs you are responsible for in addition to your monthly base rent. Utilities are billed separately from your base rent at Prose Decker Lake. Electricity is provided through Austin Energy (City of Austin) and is set up directly by the resident prior to move-in. Water, sewer, trash, and Wi-Fi are billed monthly through the resident ledger.

Yes. Renters insurance is required for all residents at Prose Decker Lake at the time of move-in. We ask that you purchase a policy with a minimum of $100,000 in personal liability coverage. Our team can point you in the right direction of several options if you don't already have a policy.
