Prose Decker Lake is located at 8701 Decker Lake Road, Austin, Texas 78724. Our community sits in East Austin, nestled between Highway 183 and the 130 Toll Road — two of the area's most traveled corridors — making it easy to get wherever you're going anywhere in Austin and beyond.

Our community is surrounded by some of Austin's most well-known beautiful and recreational destinations. Decker Lake is just minutes from the community, offering open water and scenic green space. Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park — one of East Austin's largest outdoor destinations — is only a short 3 minute commute, with sprawling grounds along the lake.

The Travis County Exposition Center is nearby as well — another 5 minute journey outside our community —- who regularly hosts events, trade shows, and community gatherings throughout the year. Downtown Austin, with its live music venues, dining, and entertainment along Sixth Street and Rainey Street, is approximately 15 to 20 minutes west depending on traffic.

At this time, there are no dedicated bike lanes or commuting paths directly connected to the community. That said, Prose Decker Lake is in a great location between Highway 183 and the 130 Toll Road, making the drive to most parts of Austin and the surrounding metro area straightforward and efficient.

Prose Decker Lake is conveniently positioned near several significant employers in the Austin metro, making it easier for those traveling to work. Tesla's Gigafactory Texas in southeast Austin is approximately 15 to 20 minutes away from our community. Applied Materials, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, is located nearby in the 78724 corridor.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and Manor Shopping Center are also within close proximity for those working or running errands in the area. Our Austin apartment community can be a choice selection for those who have commitments to nearby employers and businesses. Very convenient. The community sits between Highway 183 and the 130 Toll Road, both of which are less than 10 miles away. This positioning gives our residents quick access to major employment centers in North Austin, the Domain, Round Rock, and Downtown Austin — most of these locations reachable within 20 to 30 minutes under normal driving conditions.

Yes. Renters insurance is required for all residents at Prose Decker Lake at the time of move-in. We ask that you purchase a policy with a minimum of $100,000 in personal liability coverage. Our team can point you in the right direction of several options if you don't already have a policy.
